I have experienced the rich world of children’s fiction throughout my life. As a child, I loved reading a book while curled up in a comfortable chair or surrounded by the leafy boughs of the tree I just climbed. As a mother, I cherished the times my husband and I read aloud to our children during our homeschool time, in the evenings, or on road trips. And, as a high school English teacher, I enjoyed sharing timely and timeless books with my students.
Now, I am excited to share with you some of the books I read as a child, some that I read aloud to my children, ones I shared with my students, and the children’s books that I still read today for my own pleasure.
